Building Permits
Building Permits are required for all construction work performed in the City of Neodesha. This includes roofing, additions, fencing, new construction, etc.
When do I need a building permit and why? The reason for obtaining a building permit is to ensure a standard of quality and safety in the work being done, preserving the value of your property. As for the timing, a simple rule applies. If you are working on repairs or replacements of items such as paint, wallpaper, tiling, carpeting, cabinets, countertops, paneling, or similar finish work that existed previously, no permit is typically required. However, any new construction, additions, or structural changes exceeding a work value of $1000 necessitate a building permit.
