If you would like to have a Fire-Pit in your backyard you must apply for a Permit with the Fire Department and meet the requirements stated in the City Ordinance.
A commercially designed and built outdoor fire place with a protective spark arresting screen or a professionally built outdoor fireplace constructed of concrete or other approved noncombustible materials.
4-A rating fire extinguisher or garden hose shall be readily available.
A pit with a circumference of no greater than 3 feet and a depth of at least 1 foot. Constructed of concrete or other approved non combustible material protected in a secured manor by wire screen cover constructed of not less than number 9 gage wire and not grater than 1-inch mesh covering the entire circumference of the pit. 4-A rating fire extinguisher or garden hose shall be readily available.

The city requires every business to have an Occupancy Load Sign displayed. This can be obtained after an inspection is done by the Fire
Chief. The Business must
also be inspected yearly by the Fire Department.
To sell fireworks in the City of Neodesha, you need to apply for a Permit
The cost is $100 per application non-refundable.
This permit would allow you to sell fireworks
June 27th to July 4th from the hours of 08:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Bottle-rockets and Chinese Lanterns are prohibited in the city
All other fireworks are prohibited except for
June 27 through July 3rd 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
July 4th 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight
July 5th 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
