City Hires New Museum Director

The City of Neodesha is excited to announce the hiring of our new Museum Director ~ Rob Morgan.

As you all know, Rob is the owner and publisher of The Neodesha Derrick News.  He brings a wealth of knowledge about Neodesha’s history, not only through his current journalistic endeavor, but also drawing from his experiences with family and friends growing up in our Community.

Did you know that Rob is a Navy Veteran?  His travels abroad round out his range of experiences with many situations and different cultures.  Thank you for your service!

Returning to the States, he attended Independence Community College and Pittsburg State University, majoring in Communications and Photojournalism.  He’s worked at the Independence Daily Reporter, the Pittsburg Morning Sun and the Chanute Tribune.  He also was the District Manager for the Montgomery County Conservations District.

We are so looking forward to Rob starting on April 11th, so stop by and see him then.  The Museum is open on Thursdays & Fridays, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday mornings 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.
