Drinking Water Notice 08/12/2026

Important Drinking Water Notice

The City of Neodesha recently exceeded the drinking water standard for haloacetic acids (HAA).

The standard is 60 µg/L. Our four-quarter average at one testing location was 68 µg/L.

This is not an emergency or an immediate health risk. You do not need to use bottled water or another water source. If you have specific health concerns, please contact your doctor.

The City is cleaning and disinfecting the treatment equipment and will continue monitoring the water system. Corrective work is expected to take 2–3 weeks.

Questions? Contact City Hall at 620-325-2828.

Please share this notice, especially with people who may not have received it directly.
