Museum Director Position Open

The City of Neodesha is currently accepting applications for the position of Museum Director.  This position manages the day-to-day operation of the Norman No 1 Museum and is under the direction of the Public Works Department. The Museum Director manages general site operations, develops and implements various educational and historical programs, assists in site promotion and public relations, and performs minor maintenance tasks.  This position is responsible for working with the general public, volunteers, and assists with support groups. This position is classified as seasonal/part-time with a work week of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and is open May through September.

No previous experience is required, although it is helpful.  Historical knowledge about Neodesha preferred.  Basic computer skills are beneficial.  Employee is expected to have acquired the necessary information and skills to perform the job reasonably well within six months to one year of employment.
